History
Kibosho Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (KIBIHAS) was established in 2000 as St. Camillus School of Nursing, driven by the vision of the Catholic Diocese of Moshi in realizing humanitarian development in the health care sector. On December 11, 2000 the commencement of operations began with nursing program, to address the need of trained nurses in the Catholic Diocese’s health facilities, where limited access to quality education and healthcare services were prominent. In 2007, formalized by full registration and accreditation (REG/HAS/029N) from the then National Council for Technical Education, now National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), the name Kibosho School of Nursing (KSN) was adopted for originality and autonomous reasons of offering health-based education.
Conforming to guidelines provided by national regulatory bodies and other organizations, while reflecting its growth status and desire to meet needs of the population and community, later, in 2021 KSN transitioned to Kibosho Institute of Health and Allied Sciences (KIBIHAS) to accommodate multiple program expansion.
